Our work is important, but without the help of able volunteers and kind donors we can’t accomplish any of our goals. That you want to help us really means the world to us! Through you donation we’ll be able to continue our fight for sustainability and healthier seas.
We collect donations through PayPal, as it’s secure, reliable, and we only pay a modest fee recieving donations, unlike with direct bank transfers, where a substantial percentage is lost. (More than 5% is eaten by bank fees). You do not need a PayPal account to donate through PayPal, as long as you have a valid credit card.
If you are uncomfortable using Paypal, we’ll be glad to send you our bank details so you may make a direct transfer. Depending on the legislation in your country, your donation may be tax-deductible as we’re a registrered non-profit NGO. In this case, please get in touch with us through the contact form below.
All donations go to our operational fund. This means that they help us fuel our vehicles, fill our scuba tanks, pay employees, conduct research, pay rent and insurance and many other things. If you have anything specific you would like your money to be used for exclusively, you can let us know and we’ll honour your wish.
Besides financial aid, we happily accept material assets. Although there is much more that we can put to good use, there are a few things we currenty are looking for. If you have any of these items, new or used, and in some cases even if it is damaged, please contact us through the contact form below.
Currently we are looking for:
- Canon digital compact camera’s or any DSLR camera. Also old or possibly damaged camera’s are welcome. Check our (long) list of camera’s to see which models are mostly of interest to us. Especially the Canon Powershot A490 is interesting. These will be used to create our own remote sensing platform for our Coastal Ecosystem Mapping project.
- Laboratory equipment, especially for water analysis (pH, dissolved organic matter, nutrients, salinity, rainbow sensor, etc)
- Scuba gear
