SURVEY SITES

Overview

Marine Conservation Philippines is at any time engages at at least a dozen different survey sites on Negros Oriental. Some of these are frequented by recreational divers as well, as Negros has some very beautiful dive sites. Basically divers can find everything from minuscule macrolife to megafauna on some of the worlds most beautiful reefs. The area offers ample opportunities for both beginning and advanced divers and there is plenty to see and do with great macrolife, as well as muck diving and strong currents. Some of the scientific survey sites we work at are rightly considered reasonably challenging.

Zamboanguita is still a relatively unexplored area for recreational divers, although there are some resorts who already dive in our area. More well known of course are nearby Dauin and Apo Island. The map below details some of the sites we have been diving on, either for dive training of our volunteers or for research.
