INTERNSHIPS
A marine conservation internship with Marine Conservation Philippines offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the most biodiverse marine environments in the world. Our internships combine practical fieldwork, scientific training, and community engagement, allowing participants to contribute directly to ongoing conservation projects. Whether your background is in marine biology, environmental science or media, our intern programs are designed to build real-world skills while making a measurable impact on coral reef ecosystems and coastal communities.
Interns can choose from a range of specialised pathways, including research internships, and scuba diving internships such as the Divemaster and Instructor programs. Depending on your focus, you may assist with underwater surveys, data collection and analysis, volunteer training, or conservation outreach. Many roles involve scuba diving and marine monitoring techniques, providing valuable experience for those pursuing careers in marine science or conservation. Longer-term placements allow interns to take ownership of projects and develop professional-level competencies in a supportive, team-based environment.
Our internships are designed for individuals who are serious about contributing to marine conservation, not just observing it. As part of a working NGO, interns are integrated into daily operations and play an active role in advancing conservation outcomes, from reef monitoring to environmental education. With mentorship from experienced staff and exposure to real conservation challenges, this internship in the Philippines is ideal for those looking to build a meaningful career in marine conservation, scientific research, or sustainable resource management.
